Learning with Paolo is a charity born from the desire to honour the memory of Paolo Stanca, through the realisation of educational projects inspired by the idea of school in which he believed. Paolo was a curious boy, he loved to explore and discover new places, ideas and perspectives. He reflected on what he did and on his surroundings.
Even with regard to schooling, he wondered whether a change was possible: he dreamt of an education that stimulated creativity and the development of skills, that promoted cooperation, and that was capable of renewing itself to accommodate ever new needs and allow everyone to make the most of their talents.
Paolo was a concentrate of generosity. Even in the most difficult times he cared for the people around him, with an unpredictable sense of humor and a kindness that those who experienced it will never forget.
His family members wish to cherish and pass on his example, so that the richness Paolo brought to their lives may be reflected and multiplied.
So I wanted to say thank you, thank you for the hugs, thank you for the awkward handshakes, thank you for all the times I need space and company and you give it to me, thank you for all the time we’ve spent together, whether in person or on the phone, thank you for all the effort you put into supporting me in the smallest things and the biggest and scariest ones, thank you for the love and security you give me every day, thank you for making me feel alive at a time in my life when, as far as I’m concerned, I could have been dead.
